Update from Brazil

Brazil's National Institute for Cryospheric Science

The recently created National Institute for Criospheric Science in Brazil (INCC - Instituto Nacional de Ciência da Criosfera) has as its main objective to integrate the national scientific community that investigates the role of glaciers, the ice sheet, sea ice and permafrost in Antarctica and the Andes. As a by-product of this endeavor, amplify Brazil’s Antarctic Program (PROANTAR) range of activities and acquiring valuable scientific field mission experience from the extreme environmental conditions of the cryosphere.
