To estimate the overall mass balance of the Greenland ice sheet, data from multiple satellites such as CryoSat, GRACE and the Sentinel missions, supported by airborne campaign data such as IceBridge and CryoVEx, provide more robust estimates of ice sheet changes in both time and space. In the presentation recent examples of such synergistic use will be given, including the 2012 and 2013 mass loss anomalies. The ESA Greenland Climate Change Initiative will shortly make both CryoSat and GRACE data available for this purpose, in continuation of the existing 24-year altimetric height change time series.
